The Journey Of Damwon Gaming Players To Worlds 2020

DAMWON Gaming: Who Are They

Damwon Gaming was first introduced to us during 2018 Worlds. The majority of the teams had been telling us about Damwon Gaming's junior Korean team in scrims and how they would be the best in the world in LCK the following year. Unfortunately they did not meet the expectations over the following year. Damwon Gaming had a little boost later in 2019 and were able to make it to Worlds however their performance was not particularly impressive when they fell to G2 Esports in the quarterfinals. This year they acquired Ghost from Sandbox Gaming and their results improved with each match they played. Damwon are just one step away from the most prestigious honor of winning the "League of Legends" and being part of the elite group of teams that will win the "Summoner's Cup" however, there are many fans wondering who the players are and where they came from? We will take you down memory lane and tell a brief story about all five of the players on the team.

Top: Nuguri

In the early days of his professional career Nuguri was a hardworking high school student who had passion for playing video games. However, he began to concentrate more on League of Legends than his studies. After taking part in an online cafe tournament and being offered a position with IGS. He played throughout the year. Damwon Gaming saw him there and wanted him to be their first best player. Nuguri not only brought his incredible skill with them as well as his lively personality. It's hard to not adequately describe the significance of that in a professional environment. Nuguri quickly made his way up the ranks in Korean SoloQ and players feared him for his excellent playing style and team fight, although despite being one of the top top laners in the world today, Nuguri is still adamant that he is still learning. The other thing that has changed is his attitude and he is now more determined than ever to win the Summoner's Cup and become the best player in the world. Jungler: Canyon

Canyon is the sole LCK jungler to have pentakills, however the journey to reach this level wasn't without its challenges. Canyon was a member of Damwon Gaming in late 2018 and was a big part of the scrims kings' period however, playing against the top junglers of the world at 17 and beating the best of them was extremely exciting for a youngster. Canyon also did the same in the beginning of 2019, but others picked up his strategies and this affected Damwon Gaming's success.

Damwon and Canyon endured a long and hard year long and have now arrived at the promised land, and their greatest achievement was their revenge against G2 Esports last week, in the semi-finals. Canyon finally overcame every jungler he defeated last year, and the only thing that can stop him from lifting the Summoner's Cup this week is Suning Gaming.

Mid: Showmaker

Showmaker may be the most athletic player in the team and you can tell that in his interviews. Showmaker responded to a question about how important he was to the team's success. He replied, "I feel like I get carried away regardless of whether I win or lose. It's not easy for 20-year-old players to carry the hopes of so many fans cheering for them every week but Showmaker made that his motivation to win. Everyone on the team believes in Showmaker and frequently say that he is the most vocal member on the team but Showmaker, a young midlaner, has often admitted to doubting himself a lot.

Showmaker said in an interview earlier in the year that this is the best he has ever been but soon after stated that he thinks things such as: "What if I get single-handedly killed tomorrow?" G2 Esports were in the forefront of Showmaker's thoughts all this year, and he would always mention how he wants to get revenge for last year's elimination and with their win last week, we saw how relieved that he was. Showmaker was constantly slamming messages, and even stealing G2 Esports post-game celebration to demonstrate that he isn't willing to accept any disrespect from his team or region. This week, we'll see the new Showmaker who's much more confident and comfortable with the things that happened in the past as his sights are on the future.

Support: Beryl

Beryl is the primary shot-caller for Damwon Gaming and why shouldn't he be? Beryl is the oldest player of Damwon Gaming and has been playing for the longest period of time. Beryl was an ADC at the time, but Nuclear joined Damwon Gaming in H2K and He was willing to play alongside Hoit as a support player. Beryl was in the back, constantly seeking out more information about his teammates as well as the game itself but Coach Kim was not consistent in his selection of team members and he never got the chance to demonstrate his skills as a top class support. This year under Coach Zefa, Beryl finally got that opportunity and revealed his hidden potential throughout the year. On DAMWON Gaming: Who Are They the website, you can learn more information about them on handleveled.net.

Damwon Gaming players joke that Baryl isn't just the support, as well as a great player or jungler as well as an ADC for the team. This is due to how much he roams around the map and helps his teammates in every corner. Beryl could be seen as the veteran who's a big brother to the newcomers. He is reminiscent of CoreJJ from 2017 Samsung Galaxy a lot, and that team was successful in winning Worlds that year. Beryl is sure to get in the face of Suning Gaming this week and insist that they bring their best when they face his teammates as he'll be on hand to defend them!
